These terms are between you (the Shopify merchant installing the app) and TrueKeep ("we", "us", "our"), operated by an independent developer. By installing TrueKeep on your Shopify store, you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
TrueKeep reads data from your Shopify store and, if you connect them, your advertising accounts, and calculates your true net profit after cost of goods, shipping, discounts, refunds, payment fees, and ad spend. It emails you reports and alerts, and generates written insights using AI.
We provide the service as it exists at the time you use it. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We will not remove a feature that is central to your paid plan without telling you first.
TrueKeep is a paid app. All plans require an active subscription before you can access the dashboard — there is no free tier and no free trial. Plan prices are shown on our home page and confirmed by Shopify before you approve the charge.
Billing is handled entirely by Shopify, not by us. We never see or store your card details. Charges recur every 30 days and appear on your regular Shopify invoice.
If we raise our prices, the increase applies only to new subscriptions. Your rate stays as it was when you approved it, unless you change plan.
To cancel, uninstall TrueKeep from your Shopify admin. Shopify cancels the subscription automatically. There is no separate cancellation step and nothing to email us about.
Uninstalling ends your access straight away. Shopify bills in 30-day periods and does not refund the unused part of a period, so if you uninstall part-way through one, that remainder is not refunded and not carried over.
If you reinstall later, Shopify treats it as a new subscription starting a fresh 30-day period — it cannot resume a cancelled one. Uninstalling on day 10 and reinstalling on day 11 therefore means a second charge. This is how Shopify's app billing works rather than a choice we make, but we would rather you knew before it costs you money.
We do not offer refunds for partial periods or for time you did not use the app. If you were charged in error, email support@truekeep.app and we will work with you to put it right.
TrueKeep uses AI to write recommendations about your store — which products to reprice, which campaigns to pause, where you are losing money. These are suggestions based on your data, not professional advice. They are not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
AI can be wrong. It can misread a trend or miss context we do not have. Every decision you make using TrueKeep is your own, and you should apply your own judgement before acting on anything the app tells you.
We work hard to calculate profit correctly, but we depend on data from Shopify, from ad platforms, and from you. Payment processing fees are estimated where a platform does not report the exact figure. Shipping costs reflect what was charged on the order, which may differ from what you paid your carrier. Treat TrueKeep as a decision tool, not as your accounting system of record.
TrueKeep connects to Shopify, and optionally to Meta Ads and Google Ads, through their official APIs. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. If a platform changes or withdraws its API, a feature that depends on it may stop working, and that is outside our control.
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we store only what we need to calculate your profit, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.
We aim to keep TrueKeep running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, platform outages, and API rate limits can cause interruptions. We do not offer a formal uptime guarantee or service credits.
We may suspend or terminate your access if payment fails, if you breach these terms, or if your use puts the service or other merchants at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will contact you first.
TrueKeep is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including decisions you make based on its insights.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use TrueKeep after that means you accept the updated terms.
